I guess once you get used to it, it becomes easier to handle. Like getting a release number, knowing alternate locations which would likely have an MT, etc.

Nothing like showing up for a load that's ready at 14:00 and being told 'We're running a bit behind, your load might be ready in 4-6 hours'.....
Cool, make it six so I get paid.....
    Truck on....

You have to give 6 hours before you get retention pay? Are you kidding? That's ridiculous.

Yep, six hours... And in eight months of being on Choice this is the first time it might come into play.... So all in all not a bad deal..... Luckily waiting for loads to be ready doesn't happen very often..... And since I've been at the truck stop this whole time, and I wasn't gonna drive to the receiver until tmrw morning anyway, no big deal.... But if I had been in a crunch, I'd be screwed.... But I did get my next two loads pulled from me, I didn't like them anyway, and found some much better loads to run through the weekend...
    Lemonade from lemons....

How did you get them to hold it for that long? I had to beg for one month. Did you get a new or used?

I had to cancel my plans to become part of the pumpkin patch today as my wife decided at the last minute that she would rather me get a few things paid off before I make the switch. I had to call and cancel the new truck I had on hold for the last month or so. If anyone wants a new Cascadia call SFI I was getting a 2015 that was ready this past Monday. I was supposed to be there next week. It is a white truck in Green Bay.
