Absolutely not, how is it rude? Where I come from it ain't. I'm not Amish....

 

I never understood the hat off thing.. I remember being told I had to take my hat off when I enetered a vet type place. Do to respect. But I never understood how wearing a hat was disrespectful in anyway.

 

I agree. There's no reason in the world that it should be seen as disrespectful.

 

I am going to nerd out on you here, I don't take mine off either, but it's suppose to be in respect to the host because if you leave your hat on it makes your host think you don't plan on staying because you have somewhere better to be.

 

Oh if we're talking about a restaurant then I do take it off there but just walking around the truckstop or going in Walmart then no I don't take it off.

 

That's why I take my pants off when I go to someone's house so they know I'll be scratching myself on their couch for quite some time.

 

I don't want you guys in the same truck stop as me!,I mean with all the pulling in,cigarette butts,and not taking your hats off,the only thing missing is the pee bottles.
