Not a broker posting thru independent Landstar agent, scam or not

    Have hauled many landstar loads. Don't know anything about their Agent Contracts. The agents I have dealt with from other trucking companies are agents for several different companies

    Yeah there is a difference and it is called opportunity cost involved.

    I use landstar because of a lot of reasons but mainly because I don’t have to chase money, I get paid whether or not the agent or landstar gets paid. If I have issues with the agent (and I have a bunch), I have recourse on issues that crop up with the agents, for example TONU last week, the agent clearly stated he would cover more than the usual amount, and backed out, so I contacted landstar, sent them the emails and I got the money. There is a lot more to it, but that is why I don’t care what the cost is, it makes life easier.
