Well we all know what truckers can be like.. If you don't know what i mean just sit in a truck stop with the cb on 19.. Some drivers are never happy!! Brand new trucks are Junk.. The old trucks are junk. I remember once telling a fellow company driver I had my truck book for a PM and had to turn down down a preplan he told me I was stupid to do that coz I get paid by the mile and I don't own the truck I should just keep driving it till it breaks. A few months later he was broke down for a most of a week with a major break down the whole time complaining about it beening the companies fault for giving him a junk truck.
As far as pay I dont have have much of a comment other then we all started some where and usually inexperience get you a lower wage.
Dispatchers have a job to do just like the rest of us. Being friends with a couple dispatchers I have herd plenty of stories. Drivers not giving updates on their qualcom and expecting dispatch to know they were unloaded a day early. Drivers with a dispatch and hours, sitting in the drivers lounge all day talking, then end up driving all night to make the delivery and then can't figure out why dispatch gets pissed coz they cant pick up the next load coz they dont have hours left.

''Who is going to report a BAD company? A disgruntled driver.''

So you don't like it when a company is labeled, but you have no problem labeling a driver who complains about a company.
You're here to defend the companies against drivers. That's the side you choose. That's fine. Maybe you just label drivers when you're mad.

''They can also be good, but we rarely see a forum thread about that.'

There's an entire section full of them, and it has more posts than this section. 171,000 or so. Not exactly rare.

If you hung them they would complain that you used a new rope. Too many complaining that they cant find a decent job, but they wouldn't know a decent job if it bit them. If they spent half as much time doing their job as they do complaining about their job they would be farther ahead than they are.

Likely the reason they don't is cause of the endless ridicule they receive 1 for defending a maga carrier and 2 for working for one.

google, what ever trucking outfit there is and anyone can see there are other places, blogs, etc...that post things wrong with companies. TTR is just 1 source out of how many one can come up with on google....google swift, werner, etc..etc......

so one cannot blame TTR for having a place where one can say good or bad about a company....if anything TTR is one of the most reliable sources to get information from and maybe sometimes one does have to read between the lines to figure out what is really going on.

I will bet there are quiet a few drivers working for what are considered the "Bottom Feeder" companies and are completely happy doing it. And I bet they don't give two $***'s what people on an internet forum think. If you are happy with where you work and how you are treated than I say more power to you.

No. I was looking for an out before, that just hastened it. I've never worked for a large company before. I wasn't ready for that, although I tried to stick it out.

OK, so, because some drivers suck, the rest of us shouldn't be talking about some companies that suck ? That makes no sense. Neither one is a defense for the other. This is the section for reporting bad COMPANIES. The fact that there exist incompetent, lazy, dishonest or stinky drivers doesn't excuse sleazy, dishonest or corrupt behavior by trucking companies, and we drivers SHOULD be alerting each other to such practices. The companies can take care of themselves in the same fashion.

There is more to this story.. His clock started at 7am he was obviously working if his clock started. I doubt he made no money all day. Not the first load in the world that arrived to a destination early.. on the other hand if his schedule was so tight that he only had 5 minutes to spare the dispatcher or load planner would be an idiot.
