Offer the info, dont wait for them to ask for it. If there is space for description put NOT AT FAULT. Depending on how bad your csa is it may be hard to find a job becuase your csa affects the companies csa...its a sucky flawed system.
Not at fault accident, do I still put it on application?

don't hide no info from your employer they will find out still. they might ask questions but they shouldn't hold it against you.
jdiesel3406 Thanks this. -
Every carrier will check your DAC and DMV records.
It will be on there, and they will know the situation.
Don't lie.
That's all that matters.jdiesel3406 Thanks this. -
Thanks fellas. Apps been submitted and I managed to squeeze in "not at fault." Good to know for future reference, appreciate the responses
-
Yes put it on there and write no fault

Another vote for being truthful....never , ever lie on an application. about anything. Keep all of your paperwork , and anything relating to the accident and the investigation afterwards....
Big Don and jdiesel3406 Thank this. -
not all companies participate in the DAC reporting and/or checking.
usually it's the bigger ones.
the last 3 I worked for in the past 12 yrs didn't care about them.
I was rear ended a few yrs ago and always include a copy of the police report.
I also have a clean record and have nothing to hide.jdiesel3406 Thanks this. -
Is this application a one page jobby? If so you will receive a much thouroughal application when the company calls you. They fax it to you. Then you will need to put that accident on it.Or if there is no option just note beside this application, you will explain. But all accidents ect needs to be put on applications.

Definitely list it on your app where it asks about accidents. Just make sure to note it was a "not at fault" accident. Not sure how DMV handles it where you are but in Cali accidents are coded either as "at fault" or "not at fault". I have a "not at fault" accident on my MVR that happened 5 or 6 weeks ago. ##### hit a transfer truck, bounced off him and slid into me. Women drivers......

Yes you need to list all the accidents you have ever had in a commercial vehicle, no matter how old they are, when applying with companies. A lot of company's use DAC to get your background history, and if you don't list any/ all accidents, and they find later on you didn't list them all, they will fire you for lying/ falsifying on your application.
