    Carriers go off the DMV report not insurance company statements.
    Just get a 10 year driving history from your DMV....going to need it for whoever you apply to anyway....get a couple copies from DMV, carriers will require the original document not a photo copy.

    As other have said if they are not on your MVR then no one will know about them.

    You might want to take a little responsibility for your actions though as frankly they both sound like your fault regardless of what your insurance said. You will need to avoid similar mistakes driving a truck and you cannot learn from a mistake that you do not acknowledge making.

    1) Why would you not be at fault? Was the pole at fault then? If you were driving a truck when it happened I guarantee you the company you drive for would find you at fault, even on private property.

    2) Sounds like following to close for conditions to me. You should leave enough space to keep control under any conditions, if it was icy then you leave more space. They could just as easily braked for a child running out in the road as brake checking you and if they were brake checking you there is likely a reason for it (like following them to close?). That does not justify a brake check but you should still have had enough space so that it would not have caused you to spin out. Again in a truck the company would definitely find you at fault even if the police didn’t.

    Good thing I was not the investigator on these incidents;

    #1) Lack of attention/complacency IMO, would have faulted you for it, you were at the helm and hit a stationary object you were familiar with for 20 years.

    #2) Following too close and traveling too fast for conditions, lost control of your vehicle. At the very least you should have maintained your lane and smacked that dolt who brake checked you so they suffered some of the consequences.

    You are fortunate that the insurance company was so kind to you. Keep it to yourself...

    Easy! The power company came out in the middle of the night and very quietly (so as not to wake the neighborhood) moved the pole 1 foot closer to the drive way!

    I liked the part about the insurance company saying hes been doing it for 20 years.

    I dont know how thats not at fault but meh...sounds like it shouldnt be anything to worry about as far as getting a job.

    Very true! Anyone else notice it seems they have moved the "bumper cars" ride from the carnival to the Interstate?
