I was only a company driver for a month maybe... Brought my truck 5 years ago and been on my own every since. Dude give it up... Everyone who post on these thread are successful. Who cares if you lease or own, its no body business. People like you will come and go.

It's cool, I'll keep being a "glorified company driver" while making more money than those "real O/Os" at Landstar and Mercer whom are being shafted by brokers.

I'll be honest, before I came here I had my doubts about Schneider.
I assumed it was probably just a choice board of leftovers but I was shocked at some of the numbers Schneider choice drivers were posting.
So I did what anybody should do before leasing a truck and leasing onto a carrier which is lots and lots of homework.
I contacted multiple drivers, seen with my own eyes what they're getting paid and what loads are paying.. without seeing that I wouldn't have had the confidence to come aboard.
My butt ended up $5k down on a brand new truck on a 3 year lease, no regrets as the money has been even better than what I expected I could pull off.

I have seen more than once now Sadwar be blasted... here and on his own thread with people basically accusing him of not being truthful/accurate with what he's doing.
Sadwar is not a man who lies or ever misleads anybody.
Plus he runs Northeast regional, it's possible to pull off $2+ all miles $3000 after expenses running Northeast regional.. been there, done that.
I myself went through this crap multiple times myself where I was called out basically for lying about my numbers and multiple times responded with screen shots of my loads and once even of nearly everything on my pay statement. Once that was posted everybody ####!
It really shouldn't get to that point...
Many of us here have the intention of sharing and learning.. not misleading and BSing people.
Pulling off $3000 after all fixed and fuel costs is not easy but doing things the right way with focus and work it can be done and sometimes even beyond $3000 in a week. I've done it myself so I for sure know it's possible for anybody else.

Most Schneider choice drivers on this forum are smart and have their act together, I have long respected many of them and have learned soo much from them which I'm very grateful for.
Take TennMan for example, he just sent our new contract to a lawyer to have looked over and shared the results with his fellow choice drivers.
That's a class act right there and a man serious about running his business the right way!

Saying on the numbers topic I really wanted to have a backup plan mainly in case things go south here.
For a while that was Landstar, I have two contacts there and one of which I'm close friends with and knew since he was my trainer at Crete.
For a bit when comparing rates, lanes etc etc money overall different appear much different.
Landstar was slightly better paying on longer runs but Schneider had the advantage with shorter runs. Overall though the money I saw them making and what loads were paying was pretty much overall around the same as here.
However over the past few months that's totally changed, supposedly the spot market has gone to crap and Landstar is a lot of brokered spot market loads.
This driver I spoke to is struggling running for $1.30 all miles now at Landstar where as a few months ago running the same way he was between $1.75-$1.90.
You all don't have to take my word for it.. go out there and make your own contacts.. speak to drivers out on the road and see with your own eyes what they're pulling off.
It does give a very helpful perspective!

In closing I really don't appreciate dealing with POS trailers here, nor the dummies working customer service or the fact I now have to trip plan for phone calls to Schneider because they're too cheap to hire enough people to answer the dang phones! Just today I had to call in for a 3 way on a high service load, it took 27 minutes on hold before anybody answered. It's such crap.
Now Schneider could try to play more games with us with stupid MT trailer shuttles which is a game I do not play and have fought and succeed on in the past.
All these complaints and of which other driver are unhappy with too....

Bare in mind us "glorified company drivers" that have a truck leased through Schneider aren't stuck here.. we can leave Schneider and take these trucks with us to work somewhere if we wanted.
So why I am still here?.. well pssh mainly the money of course!
If there was somewhere else I could bring this truck to lease onto and make a lot more money with I'd kick Schneider to the curb in a heartbeat.
Bumped into Mercer and Landstar drivers on the road and they could have earned a referral off of me if they simply could have proved they're earning a lot more money than me but they failed each time.
If you're unhappy here then go out and see what's out there, see what drivers are actually pulling off in the real world vs what you're doing here.
Currently I'm happy because in my heart I feel I'm doing pretty good vs what else is out there.

    Okay rant over lol
