Wtf are you talking about? I didn't choose ####, it was put on my workflow and my Ica told me a couple of weeks ago that I was at the mercy of the box planners. Now the GB folks may have it a little easier, but unfortunately mine is out of Charlotte. They are a little different over there.

Fine is $200 for ignoring extra MT assignment, right?

    I don't know and I do't think so......here's what I'm saying......
If Schneider wants to keep the 'Independent' in Independent Contractor, that means that absent your explicit agreement to move a trailer (based on the workflow agreement you made), they can't compel you to move equipment at their discretion. To do so would take the 'Independent' out of Independent Contractor and make you an employee.
Independent Contractor means that you are free to come and go as you please.......simple as that.

I don't understand.......how can they add a move enroute? I mean, do you drop your delivery trailer, pick up and move an mty trailer, then come back and pick up your delivery trailer and continue on? Is this what you're saying?

So far I have no issues..Business as usual for me. However I don't go home much ..If they want me to shuttle a trailer and it makes sense (on my route) I'm ok with it. If not I call in let them know it doesn't make sense and/or it's going make me late. That hasn't happen sense the new contract but I use to just call in and they would remove it. I will continue with this .. If and when they force me to be late for shuttling a trailer..well that's on them..

BTW when i go home I'm usually within 35 miles of my house..Soo.. no issue there. Was just at the house about a week ago..They had me shuttle a trailer 2 miles from my drop and then I bobtail home. No big thing mann!

Personally, I realize I'm sign on as a lease operator with a large company that wants me to follow certain rules for their reasons (hopefully it is for the benefit everyone, but who knows?).

If I want to be totally independent then will have to make the decision get my own authority. HOWEVER so far I'm still making the same money I have for the last 2 years and 8months so no need for that at this point. Don't see any problems with the new contract really just another thing we got to deal with no big deal for me.. Some of you other guys do things differently it seems, so guess it could be a problem from what I see.. That sucks! Everyone has to decide for themselves.. I wouldn't say the whole SNI choice program is crapp tho, still is a very good option in my book! But one definitely needs to know how things are so they can see if it will work for you or not.

Best of luck in your pathways guys and gals!

Me? I'm going to keep on truck en SNI choice!
