Why not just skip LS and get your own authority?

I think I need to get some experience processing paperwork and dealing one on one with agents before I take that step. Eventually thats what I want to do.

There is no paper work to process with LS. There is little negotiating. I would go over and read the LS threads from the beginning.

Good luck driver. Keep us posted on how it works out. I have thought about Landstar and may secure outside financing on this truck and take it over if I think it would suit me.

Currently I don't see the new contract having much affect on me. I don't live far from the Houston "OC" and at times I even preplan myself before going home and it hasn't been an issue. So if it continues to be a non issue I don't see myself leaving.

So if you drop say 150 miles from home n decide to just deadhead back to house you still have to go back 150 miles to that location for an empty? Do they pay for that? Could u just take an mt home with u n drop in a local tandem area n grab it otw back out? Or is that a no no cuz ur sittin home holding an mt hostage. Maybe thats why this policy is taking place? Could you break this policy down for me..im looking to come over to sni for the new year n just tryin to figure this out..if this was already answered i apoligize now if i missed it. Thanks

If your home location is 101 mi or more from the location of your last drop, you must take your mt to wherever box tells you, or you may bt home and return to within 100 mi of your last drop for next pu.
