I been meaning to ask... What do you mean by too much micromanaging? I hardly ever talk to my DBL. Where you on the legacy program?

Im on choice program. I said that because of new contract and how they act when you need something and call them. Every story is different here. If you are happy with what you doing now then good for you. I wasnt happy and satisfied so I decided to leave. Thats why I said good luck to everyone with their decision.

Does your qualcomm detect your speed, braking, cornering truck movement and location.......that's micromanaging.

Hit the brake to stop too hard and Green Bay is notified. Drive over the speed limit and a record is kept of it. Take a curve as they deem to fast and Green Bay is notified.

They micromanage thru technology more so than talk but do any of the above that immediately notifies Green Bay and you then get to talk to your ICA whether you want to or not.

What about quarterly training it's not DOT required it's just a company policy they use to control us.

I know the Kool-aid drinkers will say don't do those things and you have no worries however you still are always being watched and monitored as well as required to comply with company driver policies.

I'm glad those who are 100%content are so but that don't mean we still can't complain about the things we disagree with that SNI does to us so called IC's

If it costs them 250 dollars to reposition a trailer to a shipper that needs it why don't they pay us 250 dollars to take the mt to said shipper? it costs us the exact same amount if not more to move an mt than it does a company truck.

Also as a contractor WHY and HOW do they get to determine where and when I start my next contracted freight move?

I'd bet they don't require their IT contractors to start and stop at the location of their choosing.

As long as drivers take it without complaint they will continue to screw us every chance they get.
