I believe the point he was trying to make is if you did not lease a truck from Schneider then you are free to choose a new carrier and not be stuck with the new contract.
Not coming to Schneider at this time.

Which would mean he didn't have a point.

Been here since 2004 and the mt situation has only gotten worse. Trailer tracks has never worked correctly.
In one of the exhibits it says 250 dollar repositioning fee.
Also says IC will be responsible for ALL tolls.
does not say unauthorized as before.double yellow, drvrtech77 and PoleCrusher Thank this. -
So why do you have to get approval from SFI? What if they say no? What happens to "your" maintenance account, What happens to "your" money that they hold in escrow and you have to ask for when you want it? Try leaving then get back to me.double yellow Thanks this.

He's the only one. Please get off Sni crotch.
So you will gladly shuttle a trailer to a 3rd location because SNI says too.
With the new agreement because it's not a contract, with it you will now either deliver the empty for the set 25.00 or be subject to a fine.
There's no way to reject it. If you book point a to b and they say drop empty at c there's nothing we can do once we sign the agreement because in the agreement they are saying 25.00 flat fee no matter where they send you to drop it.
If anyone thinks they won't abuse this then you're in cloud 9.Canned Spam, drvrtech77, Home_on_wheels and 3 others Thank this. -
Do you have 30 days to sign the new agreement ?
And I'll assume no sign= cancelled lease.
TruckDuo Thanks this. -
I totally believe they will abuse it to the limit. Like has been said before, they will get us to do the trl moves instead of company drivers simply because they have nothing tied into it. We have fuel and wear and tear not to mention our not so valuable time in sni's eyes.truckon, tsavory, double yellow and 2 others Thank this.

Anytime equipment is financed from anywhere, the finance company is going to approve of where it's leased to. That is not unusual in a finance contract. Most newer equipment financing is done as some form of lease anymore, and the financier gets to set the rules.
SFI, holds "your money" in a maintenance account, which is not an escrow account regardless of where the truck is leased to. It's part of the contract and you know it going in. Since most of SFI's customers are inexperienced, I don't blame them.
I know a guy that took his truck elsewhere 2 months in, with no problems from SFI.
I don't think they would allow someone with a yr or two of experience to do so as easily, cause I wouldn't. -
To move carriers contact your SFI rep and the rep will send you a packet detailing everything needed to move carriers.
Also they base new carrier approval off of safety record of new carrier.PoleCrusher Thanks this. -
Really? My bank never dictated where or who I could lease to, they also never required me to have a maint. account that I had to get approval to use.
