No, because he doesn't have a trailer......which is the point.
Look, a lot of people got way too worked up over something, in the normal course of logical business conduct, would never happen. You would have to read the contract to understand, and because it is a confidential agreement, that I signed, I can't go into details. But, that said, personally, I could never imagine a time or situation where I would be subject to this fine.

Eventually the Kool aid loses its taste.

So even with reports of issues now coming out and think there's probably ly 1% of the IC's on choice on ttr You still think it's business as usual....I hope it is for you but I do believe we will all get bit eventually.

So out of curiosity will they give you a bunch of crap about updating your workflow and just in general when you bobtail in and they want you to grab an empty?

Reason I ask. Yesterday they wanted me to grab an MT at the Dallas OC after I bobtailed out of the last receiver with no empties. I requested to bobtail in for my next load and they told me I wasn't allowed (which was a lie because I have bobtailed in twice before) Had they sent me anywhere else in Dallas I wouldn't have done it but since I was swinging by the OC I just went ahead and grabbed an empty

seems a big issue with this is whether they can be trusted, its appearing they cannot. I think , it would be wise to start asking for name and employee number of staff you speak with on these issues , then verify when you get to customer. If found in a lie then that specific employee can be called out with the powers that be. That should show its being paid attention to and will not be tolerated.

Start flooding the email of Chris and who ever else REALLY has th ejuice ot do something about it.

No clue really. They took the empty search off my work flow. If my ICA gives me crap about it on Monday, I'll kindly explain to her that it's not my fault there were no empties for me and giving up 3-4 hours on my clock to track down an empty, be late for a load, and run out of time on my 70 because of there incompetence. When I planned my string of loads for this week and next, I didn't plan on an extra 200 miles in my schedule.

The reply was simply addressing whether or not he would get charged $250 for the trailer. It was not about whether the "hunt the MTY" game had improved (which in my experience it has). Furthermore, I clearly stated that I would tell them to pull the work assignment before I run 200 miles out of route. So, perhaps I'm drinking a different flavor of Kool-aid than you.
As to your overall sentiment; whatever, man. You do what you want to do, and I'll do what I want to do. Personally, I've grown accustomed to banking over $2k a week running 4 or 5 days and not having to put up with a dispatcher and all of the other crap that comes with being a company driver. But, I'm funny that way I guess.
As Sadwar would say, "Roll On!!".

That wasn't an option for me. This load and the next was the only way I could get back to Houston in time for my appointments, nothing was going to stand in my way of me having a life outside of the truck!
