I hate it when it works out that way.........but it's happened to me before. Oh well, all is good. You're headed to the house, right?

7 days on Lake Conroe and then 3 days camping at the Texas Renaissance festival. I'm taking a long deserved 10 days off. The longest stretch of time off I've taken in years.

So are you mad at Schneider because they had no MTs in the area? Or are you mad they wanted you to drive 90 miles to p/u an MT?

It's that they wanted me to first drive 90 miles to a customer that was closed and then however far after that to someplace else to where there is a 20% chance there might be an empty. All of which would waste fuel and end up with either a service failure on me for not delivering my next load on-time and missing the pick up window on the load after that which was my only option to get back to Texas on-time.

Been on Choice about 2.5 years and paid off my truck about 3 months ago.......it's a whole different story when you're not making a truck payment every week.
And I don't want to come off as a schill, and I'm sure I do sometimes, but frankly, I simply can not find a better way to make a living driving a truck.......and if someone knows different, please tell me. Look Schneider has it's faults, but the pluses way out number the minuses.

Yes I understand stuff happens and I have to adjust but that's excessive out of route for searching for an empty at my expense!

you know there is always the option of catching a flight out of Salt Lake to Houston not that difficult if the loads falls through

I agree completely with that. No matter where you go there will always be faults.
