ICA, brokers, agents don't care about you driver.. If you had blown a tire on your truck going out of route your ICA wasnt gonna pay for it... As I stated weeks ago trucking will never get better if we keep being puppets smh

well simply put this way... While I think it's safe to say most of the IC's over here generally are not a problem it's the minoritywho don't want to comply with anything... It has nothing to do with being puppets and frankly for those you think just because you can book your own load doesn't mean you have to follow any rules or policies so to speak well my advice is go get your own trailer and do what you want with it but as long as you're pulling Schneider's trailer they do have the authority to control the movements on their trailers since they technically do own them...and also in the nearly five months I've been here they have never sent me in the opposite direction to drop a trailer or go get an empty trailer from where my next load was so for those that keep insisting that's all they do I'm not buying it... And frankly Schneider isn't perfect no company is but if you don't like it there's the door..
EggoTrucker, duddie, PoleCrusher and 4 others Thank this. -
Exactly... I used to work on the Choice board and coming back in a few weeks I think.. In my 4 years there I've never went out of route for anything and there is definitely rules to follow. But I think the crew in green bay are a little more lenient then Charlotte. That's the vibe im getting from these post. And that's kind of ### backwards being Green bay is the main term... But we'll see.. I kind of miss being home every weekend netting close to 2k..

My first week here, they sent me 50 miles north to drop an empty, when I was going 100 miles south to go home. And when I left back out of the house, they still thought I had the same empty.
What if we are in a dead area and we deadhead home, let's say 200 miles home. As long as we comply with the empty trailer move we are not fined??? Nothing has been clear about stuff like that. -
I delivered on Saturday in Va.
I was to pick up a load to my house 400 miles. I get to shipper which is listed as 24/7 and load is preloaded.
I get to guard shack at 930 pm and I'm told they don't reopen til 630 am. Nothing he can do. I call Schneider and tell them that's not what work assignment or load board says and I can not wait til 630 or I will miss the St. Jude charity Rodeoy daughter was in. Schneider to their credit took me off the load so I bobtailed home 400 miles. 389 to be exact.
I have not booked any freight yet and not sure when I will but Schneider did not want me taking an empty so I dropped it where they said which was at the shipper.
I will let everyone know what happens when I book freight from the house.
I'd say this will be a test of how they will treat those of us who bobtail home no matter where we are.
I'm hoping they do as they always have and just send me down the road for an empty but we will see.tsavory, Pork Chop Express, PoleCrusher and 2 others Thank this. -
