So on this thread we have 1 current driver and one soon to be driver saying they will ignore the work assignment for a empty and go to a place they know has empties and take the 250 fine if the assignment doesn't make sense to them.
There's a driver that got sent to a location to get an empty and was told SNI has been Bobtailing drivers in all day taking empties now shipper has none and shipper is tired of SNI bs and will ship via another carrier.
This is the problem drivers taking empties from locations they shouldn't and drivers who deliver to those locations are then left doing the search game.
I'm not saying just do stupid searches but I am saying don't just take empties from locations and say you took it from the assigned location.
I agree box planners just think we are dumb...... but it's the next driver you screw by snaking a empty from a location you know about and pretend you did as directed. It does not affect the box planner at all just your fellow driver.
So if your going to try and be a snake I hope you get fined.
But I'd guess that might be a smart move for the way you operate your business.
Good luck to those who follow those drivers who don't play by the rules.
Not coming to Schneider at this time.

@FatDaddy because it shows that you're not gonna be subject to irrational movements.. Once they see you can afford to say no they don't bother you.. When they no you can't afford to say no or are afraid to say no just like with anything in life you'll get taken advantage of
driverdriver and drvrtech77 Thank this. -
So your theory is that if the company can make a free $250 of you then they will leave you alone?
See...if I am the company I'm under the belief that if you are willing to pay it once I will keep sending you irrational moments.
Free money.Pork Chop Express Thanks this. -
It's been rare lately I've had to go on MT hunts due to no MTs at my drop site thankfully.........
BUT Schneider has been more often trying to get me to not pick up an MT at my drop site and go somewhere else to get an MT.
Most often where I drop when this happens has been customers that only receives and doesn't ship loads so why would Schneider want them to keep trailers and have me go out of route and waste my time?
Sometimes sending me to go to a shipper to take an empty and my last drop had empties and doesn't ship?!?
What I think is going on is we're being used strategically as guinea pigs into trailer positioning for company drivers.
So we go on more stupid trailer moves ahead of time so that company drivers won't have to.
If you're all cool with being taken advantage of be my guest but I'm not.
When I book a load I'd appreciate doing the assignment as I agreed to and be left alone.PoleCrusher, driverdriver and drvrtech77 Thank this. -
Wasn't an issue either time...the "claim" was they were showing no empties. My guess is that they were testing me (or any IC for that matter) to see what they could get away withfreightwipper Thanks this. -
And for the record if I need an empty I'm cool with getting one at an assigned location in route, my problem is when they try to send me in the opposite direction.
Like was just posted.. an IC in Phoenix picking up in Phoenix being sent to West Memphis for an MT !?! lol wtf -

I had a D/H load. drop loaded trlr, and generic p/u mty. so I p/u mty, send in trlr #. as I was pulling into shipper for next load, box people tell me to take mty back and p/u a specific trlr #. I think not!!! That trailer wasn't found.
