Don't think I would either. At the same time, I am delaying a departure to run on my own authority because of the market uncertainty. Looks like I will be sticking it out here at least through the winter anyway unless I begin so see bigger signs of optimism.

It's going well...just got access to the load board tonight so I've been messing around checking things out on there. Will be done tomorrow and getting ready to head out Friday. It's definitely a cool feeling getting "your" new truck, but there is a lot of learning ahead! Good luck with orientation...if you have any questions, let me know

Isn't there more profit for sni to put on ic's instead of company drivers? They save $130,000 on the truck . This an estimate for a Schneider company truck. The ic pays for his own fuel. Sni doesn't have to pay their benefits. It would seem like a better overall cash flow for sni and in turn would look better to investors. And no, I start a lease on Monday so I haven't been drinking the company kool-aid yet.

Quit reading all these negative post and you will do fine. Some people say negative things all the time too deter people from coming over here.

Thanks man...I'm sure there will be good and bad, just like everything else. From what I am seeing on the board, while the rates aren't stellar, they are better than ANY other IC program I have looked into, especially when considering a lot of the things that Schneider pays for/takes care of for the ICs. After I get settled in I am probably going to start a thread on my experience with Choice as a newb lol.

    You're looking during leftover time.
All the good loads get grabbed .00001 seconds after posting.
By sunset the load board is all trash nobody else wanted.

That explains it...I definitely saw the loads widdle away over the course of my couple hours of browsing. It will definitely be a learning process...don't even know when or where the box planners are sending me for my empty yet, so I was pretty much looking like I was browsing on eBay lol.

Are you in Charlotte? Don't expect much good at all anytime from there unless you want to run up the east coast.

Spent the last couple days looking for loads out of Greer, SC and it was nothing but crap.

I'm seriously looking at other options. The amount of available freight on the board where I run has taken a significant hit lately. SNI is hiring more ICs, and putting up less freight, and I don't think the trend is going to change any time soon.
