I took a picture of a minor accident that caused no damage to my truck and that helped me explain it to a future employer. One of the hardest things for a driver to deal with is when someone tells him:
    "Dont worry about it."

    Other famous sayings:
    We dont sign seal intact.
Who told you that? He doesn't work here any more.
We have always done it that way.
We always load single unsecured pallets down the center. You're the only one that has ever complained.
Sign for the piece count and go sit in your truck. Come in when the light turns green in 4 hours.

    Are you kidding?

ANY Contact with any truck, car, newspaper box, area 51 alien whoo who etc... is either preventable or not.

Grouch specifically told you that he called it in, was told not to worry about it anymore and that's that. Company listed it as non preventable in his file and closed it, end of story.

Grouch did everything he is supposed to do as far as the damage etc overall situation as it happened. I have done the same. Especially when I rode a tractor whose front end got ripped off. What a ride that was. The phone call that followed was memorable.

Not a single employer questioned me about that particular wreck. Going from dream land to having to grab a hold of teh crash net that I happened to have up in case of tornado etc came in handy. But still what a ride.

Your continued application of questions on Grouch will not end well. He said what he is going to say and that's supposed to be that. This is not a court of law here.

    Grouch Thanks this.

Let me end this, when I applied with another company, I had completely forgotten about this and failed to note it on the application. I never filled an accident report out, was never asked to. But I have come to the conclusion the company, that I applied to, only used this in the form of age discrimination. Being 82 years old, but in excellent health, clean DMV, every endorsement including hazmat, experienced with every type of equipment and this company or with most companies, who wants an "old man"but they knew they had to be careful and this was their "loop" and they jumped through it. End of story on my end.
