If he's only been there for a week (as of this writing)....then he's still pretty much in the dark as to what it's really like there.

What's the big push for Swift? We gave him plenty of names of coast-to-coast companies with lots of miles.
Some of those start with Post #206.
There's more way earlier in this thread. -
Mega-volumes of freight, still hiring total rookies, his training will surely be better than mine was over at "the Pumpkin"...
, experience with different types of freight (& without changing employers).....Moosetek13 had a good, long career there; lots of million-mile drivers there, also.
I just don't see the pblm....

Freymiller starting Pay is 50 CPM at about 2500 miles a week. .50 cpm is starting pay; it goes up from there.
That's decent pay per week. Plenty more companies to choose from though.
Assessorial pays on top of that.
- Pay based on experience
- Performance/Safety bonus
- Paid orientation
- Practical route miles
- Stop pay
- Guaranteed detention, layover and breakdown pay
- All trucks have APU
James G Thanks this. -
Butler Transport and Empire Express both are 100% no-touch freight.
I think the others are also, so you can ask when you contact the companies.James G Thanks this. -
Here's some more information on Butler Transport.
Pay structure looks good.
This was published recently after Butler acquired Coldliner Express.
Butler now has added Coldliner Express freight lanes, customers, etc.

Butler Transport looks pretty good for a starter company, but 45 cpm? Yuk! Reviews are pretty good, main complaints are the low pay. I'd have to maintain a consistent 2500 miles per week for $1125 gross to bring home at least the $900 I make at my current job. They have 4 to 5 weeks in a truck with a trainer at $800 per week max, then 45 cpm once solo. They have OTR and regional, but it looks like it's hard to get regional. So it would likely be OTR, which I don't have a problem with starting out. Overall it seems like a decent company to start out with to get my 1 year experience, I see mention of 16 cpm per diem, which I know is non-taxable income, but is that added to the 45 cpm or included in the 45 cpm? Oh and they don't have detention pay.

Did you verify "no detention pay" because I can't find that on the website.
-
No, I found that mentioned by previous drivers in a couple of places
