The first time you have this done is likely to be the most expensive, time-wise.
To answer your query: you can ask about this at the office that did your fingerprinting.
Also: both clearances are a Dept of Homeland Security thing -- so you could contact them, & ask.

I coincidently got this email from the TSA right after we just talked about how long it's taking them to process my TWIC card:
"TWIC - No Status Progress
The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) is in the process of reviewing your TWIC enrollment. Once your adjudication is complete, you will be notified and can check your eligibility determination at the TSA website"
I read several accounts where other people waited 3 to 6 months and kept getting brushed off when they'd call in to try to find out what was taking so long. It's simply AMAZING how they all received their TWIC cards just a couple of days after they had to call their Congressmen about it.
The only reason it takes so long is because they're lazy and don't do their jobs. It's disgusting and shameful that good people have to pay $125 for something so simple as a background check and a card and it takes so long when there's no reason for it. If they don't want to do the job we pay them to do, get someone else who will. -
You mean you're just now coming to terms with how incredibly "constipated" our fed gubmint can be?!?!?

Oh no, I've known about that first hand for decades, but it still pisses me off just the same lol!

MEGA-CONGRATS!!!!

Dry van -- or reefer?
Dedicated -- or not?
How long on a trainer's truck?
How long is orientation?

I asked the recruiter if it was dedicated and he said it was not and it could be both dry van and reefer. He said I move whatever freight needs to be moved, so I'm unclear on that.
Home weekly for the 34 hour reset. About 2,000 miles per week. $1200 gross per week average (I'll believe that when I see it).
100% no-touch freight, with 50-60% drop & hook and 40-50% live unload.
Detention Pay: $12.50 per hour after the second hour. Layover/Breakdown Pay: $100 per day.
Average 30 days in a trainer's truck. $650 per week while training.
Orientation is 3 days.
It's a start.wulfman75 Thanks this. -
Sounds pretty scary to me.

If you're recruiter can't/won't better clarify what you'll be getting, then it naturally follows that you don't really know what you've got.
If you don't know what you've got -- what can you (later) reasonably expect to get?
Got it?.....
