I just signed on with a new company and attempted to sign up for a load board and the load board people are telling me that the company I signed on with is 'not rated' with their insurance company to carry autos?? what does that mean?

Is it due to not having the proper insurance or is it a DOT thing? and do I ask them to add this coverage to their insurance or to their DOT info?
