I remember that scale way back when. Scale master sent my dad to get inspected, but the inspector waived us off saying "Merry Christmas!" Then 2 miles up the road, a bolt fell off the throttle linkage, and we were on the side of the road fixing it. That would have been 1984 or something like that.Trucker61016, D.Tibbitt, Intothesunset and 5 others Thank this.

I love the Banning scales. They just pick on out of State trucks.
When they pull me in there’s always good BBQ and refreshing spring water or all
Natural soda. I love the avocados they get there as well. The ice cream and chocolate fountain is a real joy as well.D.Tibbitt, Milr72 and FlaSwampRat Thank this. -
The few times I’ve been through there I didn’t see any of that.
I did however see a bottle of lube in each inspection bay. So that’s nice of them.SeeJayneRun, Intothesunset, Bean Jr. and 1 other person Thank this. -
Man that place wrecks me almost every time. I dream of them having lube.

Yeah, I’ve seen a good number of scales with signs saying to bypass when full and even indicating where the “full line” is. A few days ago I saw a scale with a sign instructing drivers to move over to the shoulder of the freeway if the scales are full. What they need to do is build a longer ramp. This cannot be safe. Plus, the shoulder of the road won’t last long with truckers regularly driving over it.FlaSwampRat, Trucker61016, Intothesunset and 1 other person Thank this.

None of the scales in California have those signs.Intothesunset, Bean Jr. and PE_T Thank this.

Indiana and Tennessee both had massive lawsuits in the 90s with people slamming in the park trucks on the highway..
the states respectively both had to pay millions of dollars to victims.. that's when the signs came up there
Tennessee went one step further to say bypass if scales are fullIntothesunset, Bean Jr., JonJon78 and 1 other person Thank this.
