i can personally tell you that i started out with USA truck and i absolutely hated it but, i stayed til i paid off my school which was 11 mos (i had to take a refresher course) then i went to Knight Transportation...stayed with them for 5 yrs..great company as far as pay..they offer daily pay or weekly pay..theyre a debt free company as everything is paid for but the longer i was with them, the worse they treated me as far as home time ..i finally did what they wanted me to do and quit...BUT, getting back to USA Truck, they do have the option of setting you up in class OR going to different schools to recruit so theyve prolly got you set up for real in a school that they pretty much get all drivers from...i would work out my notice and go...vest decision i ever made !! just ask for the bus ticket confirmation and when you have that, youll know they mean business...best of luck my friend

That's what I thought.Kind of like manpower for non trucking jobs. When im looking for work I apply to on line applications and get a lot of these agencies call me.I just hang up,rather talk to the company.Too bad students can't be well informed of scam whether agencies or companies before attending them and find out the long hard way what its really like.Yes all it is is a BIG SCAM EVERY WAY POSSIBLE.The sad thing is they get away with it.Heck I bet most their profits are made off of newbies just coming into the industry.Every yr with the bad econonomy it gets worse and worse.Back in 2003 when I first started driving it wasn't nearly as bad as it is now.Everyone is out to make a buck and don't care how they do it.

If you live in Baton Rouge the knight Terminal in Gulfport, Ms would be your best bet...the number if you wanna check with them as far as qualifucations is 800-879-8165...either Wayne Byars or Janet Peterman could help you out..

Clean MVR, solid 3 years of work history, no felonies, hopefully no nasty misdemeanors, I'm sure you can get a driving job no problem. If you want to go to a private school, you can go for any starting company you want for the most part, if you need sponsored training, I'd look into Prime or Roehl. You can always look into a company you're interested in and talk to a recruiter about your likely hood of being hired on, or perhaps a pre hire. I don't know what Baton Rouge is like, and who hires from there, but try not to just "settle" on your first job.

He has never had anything said about leasing or even training anyone at Prime, quite unlike CR England and they pulled every trick in the book to keep you training, including cutting miles. I don't know if he will ever lease again, right now being company is keeping him busy.

Perhaps so, but even when he started in 2008 with US Xpress they required 10 yrs on the long form once you got to orientation, this includes needed info on any gaps too of being off as when he was going to school.
