Well I have an application with swift, its been a week with no change, I did the security interview and it is still pending. So I put an application in with knight because they have a pet policy and that seem alot nicer on the phone and they have the home time that I'm looking for yeah I know it's not gonna be exact but they are offering it. But the knight recruiter called me back and told me they can't help me right now because I do have a speeding ticket that was 25mph over. (stupid contry road with no signs and non residential area) but she told me straight up that she could not do anything for me until six months after the ticket was issued.

So I now have the choice of waiting for swift to give me a call back, or wait till April 21st for knight.

I just don't know what to do...

Who would you guys wait for?

Neither! Try some one better. Those are both bottom feeder companies. If those are the only options then stevens. Swift and Werner tend to get their 5th wheel handle pulled during your 10. Granted you should always be doing a tug test. Yet you may find your trailer uncoupled more often than you would with other companies. Swift and Werner take anyone, because they cycle drivers left and right.

Look around but you may be stuck. Look for a smaller outfit, problem is that your newish ticket disqualifies you from most if not all insurance programs. You might be able to slide in under a smaller company but ALL the big ones are going to pass on you. Your to big of a risk.

25 over is usually considered reckless. That's a big ding.

Really not sure what your post has to do with the OP question. Did you not do a good per trip and drop your trailer? And that deals with speeding how? You make one good point, they are bottom feeders. And the OP is at the bottom right now. If they don't want him...... I suppose he has to go lower?

Let's try to help with our advise. You bringing you lack of proper pre trip inspections really isn't helping the OP. He needs a job, that's all.

Speeding? where did you see any conversation of speeding? It was all about what happens during reset, no movement in my post.

You should call safety at knight and make sure it's only six months.what you have is a reckless ticket and that's more severe then a normal speeding tickets.knight is notorius for sending drivers home because they found something on their background check and the recruiter or the safety dept didn't bother to do a thouroughal check till you were already hired.this way they can tell you over the phone.

25 over is a NO. Mega fleets wouldn't get that past their insurance company and the insurance company makes the decisions.

It looks like you stuck for now. 25 over is wreckless driving no matter where your at. The cop let it go because you were in the middle of nowhere doing it. Enough about that. What else is on your records that might be hurting you? I have a feeling that you have more problems in your records then that.

And welcome to being a professional driver. You no longer have the get outta trouble free card. From now on. Get use to getting a ticket of some kind every time you get stopped. Some good advice. Learn to drive below the speed limit in your personal car. Or let some one else drive.
