As everyone has said, check the hose from compressor to intake. It’s a very weak point on that engine, and it sucks to do in Wyoming, in winter, at night-or any other place and time really.

    Rideandrepair and henboy1 Thank this.

It's a flimsy hose and not a pipe. I sprayed it and never saw bubbles . The amount of hissing I am getting , I should see big bubbles at high idle

I sprayed it at high idle and nothing bubbled . It comes from the back of the block to the side of the compressor . Hard to see the end on the compressor side , but I saw no bubbles

That’s the coolant hose. There’s another hose there that goes from bottom of intake to compressor

It takes about 10 minutes and $10 to replace it if you plan it. That hose will only see pressure at boost as the compressor is sucking air through it

With these fat hands, how do anyone get to that hose without taking off the compressor ? Gheez ! These engineers smh . If that hose was leaking it should have bubbled from that tight spot . Then again you said it only sucks on boost and not high idle . Just broke my back changing out the rad , now I have deal with this ? When it rains it pours

After you do it once or twice, it’s no biggie. Go silicone if you don’t want to get good at it.

The end of the hose has a 90deg with a flange pipe and a crappy gasket. On the compressor end.

That air hose leading to intake is a type with a wire inside of it and if a heater hose is used it will not last long?

    Rideandrepair Thanks this.
