Currently driving with Schneider and have 18 months exp, 13 of which are tanker. I was considering a move to McKenzie which will get me home daily for around 1200 a week hauling Methanol (not sure if that's a driver unload item with this account). I also talked to Trimac which said I could do 1500 to 1800 a week and be out 3 to 5 days. I want to make the right move, but I'm not sure and I dont necessarily want to stick with the mess I'm facing at Schneider. Any thoughts, I'm in the Pensacola, FL area.

No dot issues, tickets, citations, etc. here

You already found two jobs with good pay.
What's your priority? Be home every day or make more money and be 3-5 days out?
No one can answer this but you.
I know I want to be home everyday, but if I need more money I'll do what I have to.
    Good luck

Is Schneider compare to these other two companies?

Schneider is a starter company, especially in tanker. Good training and a chance to get some valuable experience. But either of the companys you list would likely be a step up.

Your not in a good area for tanker
So take what you can, anything is better than Schneider.
You should get atleast a minimum of$300 a day or move

My neighbor drives team and makes 1500 a week with Schneider, and has a healthy 401k match. You stay with most any company and you get rewarded.

Is 1500 to 1800 attainable with a company like Trimac....Schneider inflated their numbers before I was hired.....they claimed 78k a year.. .I stay out 3 weeks at a time and I'm not even close to that......other options are action resources, slay, quality carriers and superior.....are any one of these better than the other.....my main draw with McKenzie and possibly fuel hauling (which I haven't mentioned) was home daily.

If it were me, 1500-1800 and home every 3-5 days would be my choice. That's not asking a lot. You're still getting home frequently and you would have more money.

I think you're right.....home daily is likely grand or less weekly on average.

    bryan21384 Thanks this.
