JMC, I was just about to write what you said, practically word for word. The drivers who are making fun of this guy are the ones with a problem.

 

Tree, I wouldn't be surprised if it bothers you more than it does him. He always has the choice of either turning the CB off, or just ignoring the chatter on there.

The fact is that we would be just as bad off without trash truck drivers, as we would without other truck drivers.

 

I was him I'd tell him to "wanna match pay checks? Well do ya punk? That's what I thought" and drop it OR carry it a little further and then lay the
" I'll let your old lady know I heard you today on the CB"
or "Hey when are you going to put some more beer or Jack Daniels in the fridge"
or "you need a new mattress as Me and your old lady are wearing that POS out as you're out there getting screwed on the lease you're in!
Or just tell him that you'll think of him while he's eating dinner with the wife and kids, he'll also think of Billy Big Rigger as he's watching his kids little league game or knocking back a beer with the buddies with out worrying if his BAC is to high when he crawls out of bed with the wife and after breakfast with the family like you do every day
or At least I don't have to wait to load and unload without getting paid for my time! OH and I also get paid for fueling and thumping the tires ! What do you get?? And add the HMMMM? behind it
and then the best is, I'll bet you couldn't back this thing I drive around the corner without hitting a curb without gagging from the smell!
Then think of something insulting to say to him!
