Hello Drivers,
So Im looking to get back into driving for a living and thought maybe one of these Top Pay Carrier companies would be the way to go or does that even matter?
I have 3 years experience in the last 5 years and an excellent driving record, no tickets, no wrecks, etc.
I don't have a wife or kids so home time isn't really a big issue but I would like to make good money. I eat healthy so a fridge would be sweet. A truck with an APU or Inverter-friendly would be nice too for a TV and such.
Anyways any of you experienced drivers that can send any suggestions my way of a good paying company to work for I would appreciate it greatly. I tried the jobs forums but I'm not really sure what to believe coming from company sites. I would rather take advice from someone who knows these things than to trust a recruiter.
Thanks folks!!!

@Chinatown
He's the man who knows everything about trucking companies to work for that fit your needs. May want to post your location and type of freight you want to pull.Chinatown and Captain_Teamwork Thank this. -
My experience has all been with dry van. I have doubles/triples and tanker endorsements but no Hazmat. I'm in Heber Springs, Arkansas but I would rather go anywhere else besides here. There's not really many job ops here except local stuff paying 10 to 12 bucks an hour which is a slap in the face to a CDL holder in my opinion. The nearest local jobs that pay anything are in Conway, AR which is well over an hour away from me.
No ties to any particular place. No family to see other than my mom which I'll see maybe twice a year but probably only once around Christmas. It would be nice to be able to take home time in different spots so maybe I could meet a woman but I'm pretty sure that won't happen working OTR. I'm recently divorced so making the money is my priority.
I'll haul whatever as long as I'm getting paid decent for a life in the truck. -
You may consider Rich Logistics. I have a friend working for them and he drops in Little Rock all the time. They let him take the truck home in Mississippi, it runs 75, he makes 45 cpm and runs dedicated automotive freight. They have terminals in Little Rock, Dallas, Nashville, and other spots. His run is from Dallas to South Carolina, I think he gets around 3600 miles a week. He says the equipment is good

How about food grade tankers?
Indian River Transport - coast to coast running.
Trucks
- Indian River Transport runs a late model tractor fleet consisting of 600 Peterbilt, Kenworth and Freightliner tractors.
- All trucks furnished with refrigerators and premier interior packages, over 70 inch sleepers.
- All tractors are assigned and are less than 36 months old.
Captain_Teamwork Thanks this. -
I was also living in a place i preferred not to be in Tennessee so after I met her and we made it permanate, we moved to Las Vegas/Henderson.
No regrets on all that.Captain_Teamwork Thanks this. -
I'd put Indian River Transport at the top of the list. Once you pull tankers, you'll proabably never want to do anything else; easy money and good shippers & receivers.
Here's some with "No Northeast."
Dodge City Express (Sallee Transport)
South-East Carriers
VanKampen Trucking
K&B Trucking
