Actually a huge livesaver, the only bad thing is I had to chase down antifreeze leaks until I managed to get Kenworth to do a combustion test, which failed. Then they opened up the head and discovered a mess.....
So here's a brief summary, Started with the water pump, that went first ntp covered no problem, went down the road then the hoses started breaking, replaced out of pocket. Then the thermostat, then was told egr bad..
So this has been an on going chase for about 2 months now and each time truck down and obviously not working. This time I left it at kw so they can dig into it and Ive been running as a company driver for a few. Finally today got word that ntp approved of basically the motor rebuild. They doing gaskets, liners and piston rings and egr cooler, and shockingly they have all the parts in stock.
I say kind of a lifesaver cause the torture of steps you have to go through to get stuff done but they have been great when needed. So if you buy a used truck and the dealer offers you that warranty I would definitely get it, yes it's a headache to deal with but they've easily saved me 30 grand so far in repairs
Ntp warranty kind of a lifesaver

It started with the water pump, from that point it probably took about two months until I was actually able to get Kenworth to properly diagnose it. Unfortunately though each time it went into the shop there was a new hose or thermostat etc...that was bad . I was told when head gaskets go bad it starts eating away at the weakest points and basically what it did. We've managed to keep afloat and I'm in a position to put it back to work with dedicated freight and with a rebuilt motor. Sure it was a headache but hopefully in the long run this will pay out and it will run now for a long while with no new major issues
