I called about a job one time, found out the St. Louis area isnt within their hiring area, and the lady that I was transferred to still stayed on the phone with me for like 20 minutes telling me about the company and other stuff. Incredibly nice, even though she had no reason to be. Some of the things she said sounded contrived and kooky, imo, but they are actually making attempts to care about driver morale and even healthy living.

Nice looking equipment and even nicer looking terminal. Think they have the only trailers I've ever seen with fairings over the trailer tires.

I spoke to a driver from this company at a rest area. He had fairing everywhere, all super singles and one axle disconnected. He said he is constantly getting 9mpg going from MN to PA and back with 40k pounds

Do they hire new drivers or only with experience?

At the moment, experienced only. I have heard rumblings about a training program though.

They are a very good company. Talked to them a year ago. Probably the best trucking company out of Illinois. Too bad they don't hire teams.

Yes they do. A bit if a PITA, if you ask me. The new "Faith and Family" trailers don't have them.

    not every innovation works
I hear they are anal compulsive about fuel mileage and out of route miles?

They base our bonuses on mpg and staying in route. It's not too bad, though. Fuel mileage is easy if you're not a speed demon; and, for the most part, their routes are the quickest. If you do find a shorter route, though, you get bonus points for running fewer miles.

I heard you have to weigh your body on the scale inside the terminal building every time you go there, and your weight is compared to your last visit, for every pound you've gained you have to take one lap around the perimeter
