I tried 2 times with the Garmin 465T and was very disappointed.....mostly seems like a car gps with a few truck features thrown in. It constantly put me on non-truck routes and tried to take me under low bridges. Was very unhappy. I now have RM TND500 and way better made for truckers and when it comes to map products who else really is there? Way more features. btw.....also tried PC Miler gps and not very happy with it either.

I've been using the 465T for a few months and some of the "updates" have created more problems. It refuses to route me across the Peace Bridge at Buffalo and instead routes me many more miles through Detroit. After the last update it thinks most of the bridges around Montreal are low. I've encountered several roads that the Garmin thinks are restricted or have lower weight restrictions, that aren't. I've tried to contact Garmin, but they just ignore my emails. I suggest using your Atlas for your primary and using the Garmin and a backup or when you get close.

Ive been told that the Rand one verifies against their database. I'll know on Monday, I,ll be 15'6 high and 13'6 wide. I'll see what it comes up with

Garmin sent me a link to report problems after a second report. I'll let you know what they do with it. My first report was US 52 North in NC above King. 465T says no trucks, but trucks are only restricted to a scenic pulloff, not the highway. I'll also try to keep track of other issues.

I've tried the Garmin Nuvi 465T and found it useless.

I decided to stoick with my old standy, the Nuvi 260.

Meanwhile I researched another GPS software, lowclearances.com and can't get any answers from the folks who sell that software as to how they can claim to have a full list of low clearances nationwide.

Yeah, before the 465 I had a 255w and it did at least as good a job for a lot less money. Maybe I'll just run the 465 in automobile mode.

So any more updates with how this GPS is working out? Have any of the negative issues been resolved? I'm looking to purchase a truck GPS soon. Thanks.
