See Loves is gearing up for the 465t. What's nice about garmin lane assist traffic vivid graphics. Can't wait to read the reviews. As for using there are laws being implementd against having a laptop open. Any way my laptop cost me 3k so there's no way I'd use it while driving.

Just a point of clarification on sizes since the market is about to be flooded with choices.

    • - PC Miler Nav 430 = 4.3" screen ("CoPilot Truck" is their laptop version)
    • - PC Miler Nav 7" = 7" screen due out June
    • - Goodyear GY500x = 4.3" screen (On shelves in early June)
    • - Garmin 465T = 4.3" screen (predicted release is June)
    • - WorldNav = 3.5", or 5", or 7" screen options

Does the 465T have state weigh scale locations? Does it have trip information ie hours driving, hours at start of day and hours stopped? I have a Nuvi 660 that has really helped me, however, it routes me the wrong way alot of time. Will it save favorites? Can I transfer my favorites from my Nuvi 660 to the 465T?

    Great questions, Sawgrass.
    The 465T will save favorites.
But you should submit your other questions to Garmin since I don't know the answers.
You can go to their web site and see a link to customer help.
Once you get the answers post them so we can all benefit!

NOBODY knows what the 465T will do or not do.
Not even Garmin Customer Service :biggrin_2554:
If you doubt what I say call them yourself,
    1-800-800-1020 or local 913-397-8200

I run a 255WT and have all "the view" I need,it has lane assist and 500 feet turn notification.
    Actually very annoying.:biggrin_25516:

The 465T priced at $500 is a sucker bet,it would be best to wait out the "NEW",let them fix the service/operational errors as well as lower the price.
Which they will do as they have always done with new model releases.

Eventually they will get this "tool" perfected, but its still acouple years out at best.

Been there and done that. The problem with downloaded POIs is they are never accurate, which is not so much a problem when you are driving a 4 wheeler, but when you are driving a truck that is in excess of 70 feet, then that is a problem. Plus you can't see what size or any of the amenities either.

By the way, I just bought a new laptop after my 4 & 1/2 year old laptop finally bit the dust after heavy use for navigation. I got it on sale for $550 bucks instead of $3000 bucks. I'd buy 5 cheap ones before I would spend $3000 bucks for a fricking laptop.

    FriedTater Thanks this.

Here I thought we went overboard on my
    Inspiron 1720($1,500)
The 17" screen is pretty nice for watching movies.
    $3K for a laptop in a Road Truck ?:biggrin_2554: :biggrin_25523::biggrin_25523::biggrin_25523:
