One more thing. I am pretty sure the OP was talking about the Cross Bronx which is I-95.

NY Marks their bridge heights differently than the actual clearance. I've heard different reasons, one being that it's the estimated distance from the hub to the bridge, another being they assume 1' of snow,

I run the left lane marked No Trucks on the GWB Southbound all the time since the 9/11 Upper only cluster F. Never a issue with height. On the BQE, when going under the park, it is recommended for van drivers to get in the middle or left lane, DO NOT get off the BQE! I used to see lost Pumpkin and USX trucks rolling around all the time when delivering to Jetro's in Brooklyn.

Oh yeah, NEVER get on a Parkway in NY or Northern NJ. You CAN run the Garden State Parkway in Southern NJ south of NJ18 all the way down to Cape May at the end.

NY could fix all the height issues by accurately measuring and posting their overpasses, but they could care less and can't afford even if they did as they've driven most industry out of the state with taxes upon taxes.

Every overpass in the country should be marked accurately with one of the big yellow signs, but don't even gets started.
