example: when in southeast brooklyn take crospey to 18th street (R) to 86th street(L) * DONT PASS 86th, there is a low bridge afterwards* take 86th for a few miles, pass over 7th street & make a (L) onto gatling street, less than a mile is the entrance to Gowanus Expressway/I-278 that will take you over to Verrazano & into Staten Island and eventually back into NJ onto I-95. I have a few more I researched. These maps are great especially when you personalize it. Order them for free: http://www.nyc.gov/html/dot/html/mot...prequest.shtml

Not looking at a map right now, but Im pretty sure you can take the manhattan bridge. It dumps you on ######## canal street if im not mistaken

DONT RELY SOULY ON THEIR MAP, IM TELLING YOU GUYS IT HAS MANY MISTAKES, REGARDLESS OF THE 1foot extra clearance. Here are some examples. I matched their map with google. 1. Kings hwy in brooklynis a local truck route...YET... there is a train tressel bridge marked 12'2. Ok now add a foot, 13' 2. A 13'6 wont fit. Here is another, marked truck route 86th street in brooklyn, 12'4 low clearance At 25th street & 86th, legal truck routes, but 13' 6 wont fit. DO NOT RELY ONLY ON THEIR MAP!!!!!!

Here is another one, it says you can access city island, there is a blue truck route, if you follow that, your screwed, i went to city island in a car, there is a metal gate way, 10' high, dont fool yourself thinking its higher. I never done nyc in truck only car ( thats where my wife is from ) but from what i got frlm looking at satellite on google maps, ariel veiw, then looking at close up pictures to see the clearnce signs on thw bridge... i understand this map is 50/50 correct. Good tool, bad tool. Its useful when accompanied by other resources
