That's incredible .
I grew up in that area but could not imagine driving a truck around there . Kudos to you guys/gals
Have ever video recorded backing into tight spots like that ?D.Tibbitt Thanks this. -
Well, I don’t really run a van much at all so dock backing isnt my forte. Also i dont tend to take pics very often.
Thanks for the compliment, but I would say that if I can do it, it can’t be that hard to do lolD.Tibbitt and Truckermania Thank this. -
Some of those alley docks on the streets across the Blvd from the airport can be a real pill. I worked for a company in Jersey for a couple years that ran air freight out of Newark and Kennedy and I mostly hated getting sent over there. The actual cargo terminals at JFK are not too fun to deal with either. Prepare to have your time wasted lol.
D.Tibbitt Thanks this. -
man that last sentence says it all-
Lufthansa to me means double the rate. Ive wasted a whole shift there to have them tell me they couldn't find the biggest one of 5 pieces i was taking. It was 2x the size of a suburban!
Ever body working there is under the impression that they matter more than anyone else in the world.
“Well i loaded 2 of the 3 pieces; the other one is 5’ away, im going to take my hour lunch now”
i miss nothing about the airport. -

Lufthansa was actually one of the better ones if I recall. It got worse than that. I'd get stuck at some of those places so late that the cross bronx would be wide open all the way back to the bridge!
