I"m surprised you were able to even renew your regular license.
2011. That's roughly 8 years ago.
I know someone who couldn't renew her utah license 2 years ago. Because she didn't think anything would come of not paying for her wyoming speeding ticket 5 years ago.
If you have a debt with another state. You can pretty much plan on having your license suspended these days. And ineligible for renewal untill that debt is satisfied.
NYS unable to issue me permit because of old unpaid NH ticket?

UPDATE: I got a hold of DMV in the state capital, then the town court where I got ticketed....It was a pleasure calling these places as i didn't have 16 million prompts to go through....There was no interest (to my knnowledge) built up on the original fine...I paid the $695 over the phone...they faxed something over to the DMV in the state capital, the warrant for me was lifted, and I was then cleared in the National database (after paying a $125 restoration fee)...I just got back from the local DMV here in NY with my CDL permit in hand...all in all it took about 3 hour or so...Looking forward to starting my new career now...Finally ! Praise the Lord !

Good Job! You did the right thing. Face up, pay for your mistakes and move on.
I had a speeding ticket in Massachusetts back in the 80’s that I ignored. Sure enough, when I was trying to straighten out my NC license years later, it reared it’s ugly head. Along with a driving while suspended ticket in NJ from 18 years before... took a lot of time, money and lawyer fees... but I got that crap straightened out. When I went to court in NJ, the cop that wrote the suspended ticket showed up in court... 18 years later. He was retired and living in Florida. He came to court back in NJ cause I was the longest outstanding ticket in his career. A GOOD lawyer got it reduced to driving on an expired license. The cop who later became the Chief of Police in that town before retiring was very cool about it. He could see I was serious about fixing my wreckage and starting a new life on the up and up..... Didn’t hurt I went to court about 5 days before Christmas!!! I was the only case on the docket that day.
Now 10 years later.... I treat my license like a gift from God Himself. Clean record since I got it reinstated. No tickets... car always inspected on time, CDL clean...
I hope never to return to that fear and irresponsibility that I created due to my behavior.....BlueThunderr Thanks this.
