Some of the Regional Work, local work sounds appealing, but I know I will always miss the road. After 13 years, 10 running 48 states & Canada, and 3 running local/Northwest.......I can't seem to really stand the local driving on the same routes and same customers every day.
I am looking into buying my own truck again, but can't come up with any real money up front. My credit is too beat up to look for loans. I have to consider my only options are the Leases/Lease Purchase from the companies. I have read all of the horror stories and am well aware of the immoral/illegal companies leasing trucks out there. I just wonder if there are a few who are trying to do the right thing on these lease purchase programs? -
Torqued-Up Thanks this.

What are the companies that you are talking to?? I haven't found any like that. It seems everybody wants ALOT of money upfront. ($20K-50K)

carefull rookie. hard to make money with paying 30% interest on a truck loan
TX_Proud, Brickman, rookietrucker and 2 others Thank this. -
I also been looking for an easy in and affordable finance or lease option. I've put many hours into it and pounded many calculator keys trying to find a fair one. To date I haven't found one that isn't akin to a financial enema. 30% is a bargain in the buy here-pay here big rigger financial world.
If and when I find one that's a reasonably balanced deal I'll be sure to post the info. Until then I'll continue to work on repairing my credit or find a good deal on a truck that can be bought for about the amount of the down payment on the typical bad credit finance plan... -
I'm still debating whether or not jumping on my approval from Selectrucks. It's an 03 Columbia, 13sp, 2.93's, 430 DD, 1585.00 for 37 months, 14.5% interest. Calculator wise, it'll make a little more than 1200.00 after expenses per week. But real world could prove to be different. I need to do something though, I've been out of work for a month.
