Me and my trucks have been ready for the shut down forever.

We just need the time and the place.

In fact, I was home for 4 days. Does that count as time served?

    PPLC and D.Tibbitt Thank this.

Tariff war, economy slow down, too many trucks (way too much capacity was brought in 2018). Basically good old supply and demand

First off I call bs on the 10 mpg, not to mention outrageous fuel mileage for a loaded truck.
At 5 mpg, 3 bucks a gallon, your fuel cost is like 50 cents a mile, thats what I figure fuel at and ain't charging less just because I get 6 or 7.
I run South Dakota to Oklahoma and everything between, there isn't enough time in the day to run 60 mile an hour, not to mention it drives me insane.
I don't "sit in a truckstop and wait for dispatch to get me a comcheck for fuel," I pay for fuel cash, 100 dollar bills.
I don't factor because I ain't giving away 3 to 5 percent of my money just so I can spend it faster, if you need to factor you have no buisnsss owning a truck.
I directly attribute low rates to supposed high fuel mileage trucks, if nobody could even break even off dollar a mile freight there wouldn't be dollar a mile freight.
