:biggrin_25510: I am an o/o with a Landall, Lowbed, and Flatbed trailer i sometimes will move vans and pickup trucks and gas generators. I got a letter from F M C S A telling me i must get Haz Ins. or they will suspend my Authority. Big brother getting in the way again. Has anyone else had this problem have any idea how much this ins. will cost. I have been waiting for a quote from my agent. I hate to have to buy this ins. when i can go months wihout moving this stuff.

I just reviewed the code on this 49 cfr 387.9

I do not see where you would be subject to the 5,000,000 liability insurance.

I originally thought of the 1,000,000.

    Did they quote a reason?

i don't think you need it..but if you do look into a umbrella policy.if you don't haul it all the time why should you pay for it? also wouldent a wrecker require the same insurance? Good Luck Walt
