I think something must be wrong because I just got off the phone with Progressive and she quoted me $7500/yr.

Why? You're only required to file it once unless your authority is has to be reinstated for some reason.

Well I hope you’re right right there.
But it cost me 50 and I was thinking that was an annual thing. Maybe not.

    D.Tibbitt Thanks this.

If you join OOIDA for $45 a year, they will file your BOC-3 at no charge, and also if it needs to be renewed, they will do it at no charge.

Great West Casualty is just a insurance broker, I received a quote from them last year as a new venture, but I’ve been a Owner Operator leased to a carrier for the last 22 years, I have clean record with full coverage for tractor and dry van.

They quoted me $16k through Progressive, I could’ve went directly through Progressive for $14k.

I called OOIDA, they quoted me $12.5k, so I went with OOIDA.

This month is renewal time and OOIDA quoted me a bumped up renewal rate of $13.7k, I had no claims or tickets, clean driving record.

I did a online quote with Progressive and it was $12.5k, but if I paid the premium all upfront it would be a discounted rate of $10.9k.

So I paid the $10.9k and saved $1.6k.
