Before you buy anything you need to figure out if you are going to get your own authority or if you have plans to lease on with a company. Next step is to find the perfect company. Get a contract first and read it. Don't ever sign anything until you have had time to look at it a few days. Next thing is to see if you can put that year of truck on with a company or brokerage it out. Many companies are not taking trucks over 10 years old.
Make sure you do your research on the companies even through FMCSA safety. You can find out what their points are for safety. The higher the points the worse the company.
