I know a small carrier that uses his county health department for randoms . But then there is a problem with being tested as soon as notified . The requirements can be impossible with a sole owner 1 truck operation .

 

When I was in operation as a 1 truck operation the consortium required me to list someone other than me as a "official" of my company to handle notifying the driver (me),......My father was the company's "official" ,.......

 

one truck operation. just go take a drug test every two years. satisfies your 50% a year. people been doing it forever like this. You people really think about this #### too much

 

I want buy a truck and trailer. Any suggestions on what to buy and make money at? I have flatbed/specialized experience and van/reefer experience. I propose 3 scenarios: Buy a truck with a reefer, flatbed or some sort of specialized trailer like a lowboy with a flip or a super low stepdeck. Which will make me the most $$$? I'm running team with a friend of mine $1265 a week for each of us. 6100 miles. Maybe we can buy two trucks or run team on one. Any suggestions?

OP, you might give Truck Insurance Mart a call at 620 654 3921. I was with OOIDA insurance at first, but soon found a better solution with those peeps... Ask for Travis. BTW, Travis is a chick lol.

 

If you have authority the driver(s) are required to be in a random pool . Testing when you choose is not random .

 

When I had my audit 2 months ago, I had to show proof (cerftiificate) that (even though I was the only driver) I was enrolled in a random drug testing program.
