Excellent rates on opendecks. Is this the best year ever for flatbeds?

I think we might see rates jump up a little more even. You know its good when even the regular brick and stick is paying above avg.

south east South Dakota. I'm on my 2nd load self dispatched so no real established lanes yet. I've tried to get loads like that to work smarter not harder, but no luck as of yet. I took a shorthaul to Minneapolis thinking i could score there. No luck and ended up taking a load to CA at 2.6 per mile. Just booked a 2 pick 4 drop 8000 lb load going out of CA 3200 miles at 2.5 per mile. I feel like i may have low balled that one a bit, but the market is pretty soft right now especially in CA and it's finaling out in a great market in OH. He started at 7,000 on that one I started at 9 and we met in the middle.

All said and done it will be 14,010 on 5520 miles in about a week and a half. 2.5 pm was my minimum and that puts me at 2.54.

That’s not to bad for the territory your running in and the amount of miles. Dakota’s and California are on my do not deliver lists unles they pay double. New Mexico is on my never list. In or out!!! Lol

California was on my Do not deliver list as well until 3 o clock rolled around. I had been posted on DAT and ITS all day with no good calls and all the good loads I called on being covered. The customer obviously told them to get this load covered NOW and stop ##### around. While I was on the phone with one agent from this office another agent from the office was spam calling me. After I booked it with her for 5k I answered his 5th call in a row. I asked him what he was trying to get it for. He said 4500. I told him I just booked it with another agent at his office for 5000 so I'll stick with that. :)
