Is there really a higher divorce rate for O/Os who have their wife as their dispatcher? Read something along that line a while back but don't recall if it was genuine statistics or just fatmouth. I could understand the frustration factor: If she (or he for you lady drivers) booked you a load you didn't like, what are you gonna do?
Cancelling the load might get you 8-Balled for "Service Failure." And if one suspected a cheatin' spouse and fond him/her-self on a long run going away from home, then one would be stewing the whole way...

I don't know much about the study, but I could see it happening because when you work together day in and day out then you do tend to get on each others nerves. The only thing different then having a company dispatcher is you could fire them and take the job over yourself, but then you would get frustrated and ask them to come back.

LMAO Its not always a bad thing!!!

I dispatch JJ and we don't argue over where I send us :biggrin_25519: He drives and I handle the dispatching and all loaded and empty calls.
    I also travel with him.

I think it is all about how strong the relationship is. If you have a good relationship, you figure out how to disagree with each other without it turning into a blowout. You also cut the other person a little slack and realize they aren't trying to screw something up.

    Just accept the reality!

Marry her, anytime after that...you can't win an argument, you're not allowed to disagree....just remember two words:
    YES DEAR!

Some people speak off the top of their head. Others, from the heart...You, JaniceReid, speak from the brain through the heart. Well said, thank you.
