Yes. All the brokers will use a load boards to move their freight when their regulars are not available. This a good place to start the contact searching.

    I get that.

However, sloppy preparation and misguided intentions shouldn't be encouraged or rewarded.

I'd tell the guy to go lease onto Crete for $1.30 a mile at this point ;-) The loadboards are a royal mine field right now.

    Mostly like that.
99% of what is offered isn’t worth looking at; when you respond to something that could work, people try to proud up about how cheap they are.

I remember before I even came to TTR. I would just come here etc to view the blogs here. It took me so long to actually figure it out lol. Wow. But I really appreciate this.

I think he was disheartened too early - did not even go through one full up and down cycle. He was a smart guy too, he could do other alternative things and so he did. Maybe he was not even cut out for this, working a few months a year...being concerned of lower fuel mileage due to increased air density or something like that. In other words, to say that he failed would not be quite accurate.
    .
However, I think he did a great favor to many here of how to start and get going. His thread should be pinned and lots of people asking basic questions would find it there.
