I also think that any new guy should not feel discouraged to call any broker there is and rather call the ones you mentioned as the last resort. Many of them, if not most, would not mind to work with new guys, especially when they need to move their freight.
O/O with new authority: looking for freight companies that will accept my carrier packets ASAP.

No.
I bought one like 5 years ago n without dedicated work for it it wasn’t worth it. I set another one up last year for dedicated work I already had.
It’s not super specialized; if you get one thinking you’ll save tarp time you’re gonna get ####ed.
For how much them kits cost- you need dedicated work and/or BIG ####in tarp charges to compensate for the cost. -
Scooter Jones Thanks this.

well, i am signed up to get one soon. I think it could be good investment. You can haul food with them and such. Me though, I don't mind tarping or learning how to speed tarp, but it seems like almost break even having the kit. -
but also my carrier is an all connestoga. So that's kinda why I have to get one. However I am thinking about getting authority and running a reg flat with authority and maybe some oversize. But all in all I think stay with this carrier, get this kit, then get authority with this kit.

Did @icemerg run away from this message board?

Started running with TQL and CH Robinson when I started. I work the boards both Dat and broker boards . You eventually get to a point where they start calling you and offering loads that haven't hit the boards yet . Most these big companies will work with new carriers. Goodluck

I agree. I wouldn't call him a failure either. Moore Luke he realized just how lean the dry van independent Markey is and figured out he would never make enough money doing thart to be worth it.
On the opposite side of the spectrum we got blairs "journey begins thread" and if im not mistaken they both bought their trucks at relatively the same time. If double yellow is a good example of "this #### just ain't worth it". Blair is a good example of how you make money in this business. That man has done awesome in a very short time.zmster2033, 062 and BoostedTeg Thank this.
