O/O with own Authority looking to sign on with someone

When I was going through the process of getting my authority JB Hunt called about doing their program but they were very evasive with the pay details. All they said was is I could average $1.60 a mile pulling their trailer and they would provide a fuel card that you goy about 10 cents off per gallon with. No contract but they wanted you out at least 7 days at a time. You however had no control over what loads you did. Either you could run all states east of I-35 or just 9 Midwest states. I said thanks but no thanks.

 

That is what I told them too. What they were offering was no better than a lease contract. $1.60 per is a joke. I double that on my crappy runs. No reason to split the profits with another company when you have your own authority.
