Well, I leave my blackberry in my dresser at home, so I wouldn't know LOL..... I was actually informed yesterday that we will be going to electronic logs by June 1st. With my run it is no biggie, but not sure how well that's going to work for the others :c

My experience so far...I was leased on to a regional CA chemical company at a 72%. The only good upside with that company is they put me and another new "glorified employee-lease to own operator" on a dedicated account. We were able to make 24kmo after fuel for about 4mo. Their was lots of favoritism with drivers and their policy was not to tell the drivers the rate on the loads. You do end up having to ask other drivers or wait for your statement to see what the load paid. One other perk is the LA terminal does let you take time off when you want to so I went to Asia twice for a month.
The gov. of Ca signed AB5 and it will go into effect Jan 1st. Since this companies majority of trucks are lease to purchase scams and the obvious rate theft... I support this new legislation to try and curb these crooked companies.
It seems in trucking to avoid the 90% of companies that will make a buck off of you, is to get your own authority or work off of load boards with such companies.Socal Xpress Thanks this. -
