You have to be kidding, right? If you are in Florida and in the middle of the most humid part of the USA, common sense would tell you to attempt to manually defrost a unit before you assume there's a problem with the reefer.

If you are running the unit, and trying to chill to -10, the coils are going to ice up if the doors of the trailer are open while you are trying to load.

The mechanic at TK was obviously clueless, but I just can seem to wrap my head around the fact that you wound up there to begin with.

    Lost revenue from load $2400
Repair bill from Thermo King $153
Handling fee to put back in storage $500

Pushing that funny little button that sez "defrost" - Priceless

    Lol. Thats a good one.

Hey, maybe its the first time it happen to him. If he doesn't learn then that be sad. I seen some frozen to the point were the defrost button didn't help. You had to pick up the temp and have some heat going threw it to get the coil to melt. Also open the reefer doors sometimes. Their a little 4cylinder diesel motor in their to that needs service once in a while.

I wouldn't agree. I only buy parts from Clark Power as a lost resort. I can't say about their actual work but I can say they are overly priced on most parts and grumpy attitude to everyone I see in there.
