There is a thread around here somewhere about them. I talked to one or two of there newer drivers in the last few months though, and they sing the praises of O&S. Then I have talked to a few drivers that have been with them for more than 6 months, and they are broke and complaining.
Normal lease Op company. The company makes money the driver stays a while then the truck and payments go to another new guy. -
I am an ex driver of O&S. They were a good company until they got in bed with Prime. They say they are not forced dispatch. That is very untrue. The family values that were once there, are no longer there. They are weeding out the mileage drivers and turning everyone to percentage pay. 70% of the line-haul plus substandard fsc. Currently they are paying 95% of the fsc. Of course 70% of all accessorial pay. Their trucks aren't worth squat. You end up paying about $138,000 after interest on a 2010 FTL Cascadia. The trucks break down all the time. They can't make up their minds as to how much each person is supposed to pay in maintenance on the truck leases. One person pays 7 cpm on a 2010 and another pays almost 11 cpm. Some of the office ppl are lying and backstabbing persons. They will tell you one thing, but if its not on the QC, don't believe a word they say. I honestly do not recommend O&S at this time. Maybe when they get out of bed with Prime and get back to the way they were before the bankruptcy it might be a better company. -
i worked for O & S for 8 month and it was a joke i would not recommend it

Why do people always talk about how good a company is..... And always forget to mention they went bankrupt?........
-
I never forgot to mention they went bankrupt. I just kind of assumed that getting into bed with Prime meant there was a financial problem somewhere. Personally after the way I was treated over the last few weeks, I hope they close their doors permanently. They have until the end of September or August to decide if they will be staying open. From what I have been told, if they do not show enough of a profit, Prime is planning on doing a hostile take over and absorbing the company into them. They have done it with other companies in the past. Jim O'Neal should just close the doors, walk away and reopen with the 11 trucks he does own that are not mentioned in the bankruptcy paperwork. Oh thats right, no one knew about those cept for O&S drivers that were supposed to get one. Yes they are paid off in cash. Ya'll wondered where the $6 mil went. Now you know. 11 trucks and into his bank account.
