Would like recent info on this company from any new drivers.
Looking into applying for them and I don't get a chance to see any of their drivers where I run.
All info I have is from the recruiters and you know how they are.
26+ yrs driving exp. 14 with tankers. Wanting to switch over to a food grade company. (liquid only)

7cpm difference in pay favoring Oakley. But sometimes that doesn't mean better as you know.

Such as.......???? I hear every one complaining about IRT, Oakley, Bynum. What carrier is a decent food grade outfit?? If you know of one let me in on the secret.

Whats the big deal about food grade?? I know its easy work [I worked for irt] but who cares about a tank I know most drivers are so lazy that food grade tanks appeal to them cuz opening doors or throwing chains is so much work gezzz. I also worked at Oakley I think I sat a record for shortest time on payroll 24 hrs it was. Never again! It blows my mine how anyone could read all this info on here about the food grade companys and still want to work for them. But some must learn the hard way or just don't mind being taken advantage of. So I think the secrets out my friend IRT Bynum and Oakley all suck!!

So what I should have said to the op was 26 years of exp. You can do much better than Oakley.

IRT, Oakley, and Bynum are all based out of my home county in Central Florida. The cheap economic conditions and very poor job market for drivers and most other jobs as well, places all the leverage with the employer. Hence, pay is quite modest compared to companies based elsewhere. I would agree that with the OPs experience he could do much better.

    stabob Thanks this.
